May 26-28: Maggie Valley Spring Rally

Mountain Town: Maggie Valley
Cost: $20, FREE to all Military/Law Enforcement/Fire Fighters/EMS and their immediate families

The largest motorcycle rally in Maggie Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains. Enjoy bike shows, bike games, rally rides, southern rock concerts, DJ all weekend, door prizes, vendor bucks, pinstriping, vendors of all kinds, BBQ & much more. Sunday “Honoring Our Heroes Day.” Friday: 10am – 9pm | Saturday: 9am – 9pm | Sunday: 9am – 3pm

May 26: Star Gaze in the Smokies

Mountain Town: Waynesville
Cost: $50

Experience mountain night skies a mile high and support environmental education in Great Smoky Mountains National Park with a special stargazing event at Purchase Knob. The Astronomy Club of Asheville will be onsite to provide interpretation and information. Bring your blanket or folding chair for an evening of telescopes, wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and live music in the Smokies. Limited space is available. May 27: Rockin’ Block Party

Mountain Town: Waynesville
Cost: FREE

Explore the artsy mountain town of Waynesville as they welcome Summer with another FREE Rockin’ Block Party! Main Street closes to traffic and everyone plays in the street, guaranteed to get your two left feet groovin’! Come enjoy dancing in Main Street with 3 live bands, “Kids on Main” activity hour 6-7pm including face painting, eats & treats, and all restaurants will be open.

May 27-29: Memorial Day Honorarium

Mountain Town: Maggie Valley
Cost: $15 Adults, $12 Seniors, $7 Kids , FREE for active military & veterans

Wheels Through Time will be showcasing their newly expanded Military Might Exhibit! Flag ceremony will be led by Dana McConnell before 1:00pm and there will be Military motorcycles featured and running all around the museum grounds.  Email info@Wheelsthroughtime.com for more info.

May 27: Aint Nothin Much Band

Mountain Town: Canton
Cost: FREE

Self acclaimed “Rowdy mountain music out of Asheville, North Carolina” band will be rocking the porches of Southern Porch Restaurant. Explore Southern Porches’ main deck, patio and 3 levels of balconies complete with good ole wooden rocking chairs. Band will be playing from 7-9pm. Dinner, tunes, and fresh summer cocktails!

May 26, 27, 29: Memorial Weekend: Music, Wreaths & Hot Dogs

Mountain Town: Waynesville
Cost: FREE hot dogs if beer is purchased

Join Frog Level Brewing as they remember those who gave all for us. Friday & Saturday: live classic rock & bluegrass music, food trucks: Tacoed Wheel on friday and a brand new one on Saturday… come to see who! Open from 2pm-9pm. Pet friendly both inside and out back on their riverside deck. Memorial Day: take advantage of free hotdogs with the purchase of beer and kids eat for free! Grilling starts at 3pm. Wreaths Across America will be fundraising Monday from 12pm-7pm. This program communicates 3 values: REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH all generations the value of their service and price of our freedom. The Wreath Laying Event will be held in Waynesville December 16 at the the Greenhill Cemetery.
