Swimming Holes

One popular swimming hole that should be on your list is the Sunburst Swimming Hole. Situated just a few miles above Lake Logan on the Pigeon River, Sunburst is easily accessible and offers ample parking. With both upper and lower swimming areas, as well as rocks and beach areas for relaxation, it’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy the clear mountain waters.

For those who love a combination of hiking and swimming, Graveyard Fields on the Blue Ridge Parkway is the ultimate destination. This 3.2-mile hike treats you to multiple waterfall features and swimming areas where you can splash around and cool off. Just be prepared for larger crowds on hot summer days, as Graveyard Fields is a popular hiking spot.
