Length: 5 miles

This loop starts and ends at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education & Fish Hatchery and takes you around John Rock. Explore a waterfall near the large campsite on Cedar Rock Creek and traverse several plank & log bridges. See pink dots on map for trail loop.

If you’d like to further your hike on connecting trails or try out some of the bike trails (in blue) swing by our Visitor Center in Maggie Valley to purchase a Pisgah Ranger District Map.

Trail Insights:

  • Dog Friendly, Bike Friendly
  • Follow the orange blazes
  • You can take John Rock Trail (yellow blazes) to explore more and further your hike.

Directions:
Head South on US 276. Right onto National Forest 475 Rd. Left for Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education signs, park in parking lot.
