2018 Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival
Our upcoming 48th season in June-July 2018 will showcase some of the highest forms of artistry through music. Our wonderful string quartets, the Enso String Quartet, the Jasper String Quartet and the Tesla String Quartet will be returning. We welcome a world-famous counter-tenor to SCMF and a very special all-star ensemble consisting of principals of major symphony orchestras. Two world premieres are going to be featured this season – Chamber Music America has awarded Enso String Quartet with the commission of a brand new work for clarinet quintet, and St.Urban Concert Series commissioned our Artistic director, Inessa Zaretsky, a sextet for piano 4 hands and a string quartet. In addition, one of our concerts is dedicated entirely to the works of Schubert, with arguably his greatest masterpiece – the cello quintet – crowning the evening.
We look forward to sharing yet another spectacular season of music with you. Plan on joining us this June-July to get a taste of the musical mastery we bring to the beautiful Carolinas.
