Why Maggie Valley Drives Bikers In

Share

Hit the open road and head to Maggie Valley for your next road trip destination. We’ve got everything a motorcycle enthusiast could want in an escape with adventure behind every curve. Check out why Maggie Valley is the place to ride:

Picturesque Routes

It’s no secret that some of the best mountain views can be found along the Blue Ridge Parkway. While this is undoubtedly a popular choice for anyone with a set of wheels, it’s one of the many great places for a joy ride in the NC Smokies. For a thrilling trail of switchbacks, cruise along the Bobarosa Saloon Run or the Copperhead Loop. If you’re looking for a less crowded route, hit Thunder Road for scenic views that’ll still give you the rush of adrenaline and mountain air.

Good Eats

A long ride through the Appalachian countryside can work up a serious appetite. Refuel your tastebuds with a hearty meal at our biker-friendly restaurants tucked along Soco Road. Take a pit stop at places like Brickhouse Burgers & Pizza. Looking for something that’ll have you living life in the fast lane? Rev up your appetite with Legends Bar and Grill’s Joker Burger—we know you’re curious—and cool down with a couple of cold brews from one of our many local breweries. No matter what you’re craving, Maggie Valley has places to eat that’ll drive you and your crew wild.

Dale’s Wheels Through Time Museum

It’s no surprise that this museum has gained national and celebrity attention—including Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa!  An avid rider and fellow enthusiast, Jason recently paid a visit to friend Matt Walksler, Dale’s son and museum VP. During this A-list celebrity’s visit, Matt and Jason taste-tested several local breweries, sampled homestyle cooking from local favorites, and cruised a few of our famed routes.

Biker Friendly Accommodations

After a day full of cruising these hairpin turns, you might find your two-tired (wink-wink) to head home. At the end of your ride, park your bike, kick up your feet, and chill at one of our many lodging options. For biker-friendly accommodations, check out Smoky Falls Lodge, A Holiday Motel, or the Meadowlark Motel, among others conveniently located along Soco Road. Many of our motels and hotels are locally owned and eager to welcome new visitors. And one of the best parts of road tripping is the friendly faces you meet along the way. Spend a night at these Maggie Valley stays and wake up fully rested and ready to ride.

Whether it’s an impromptu day trip or a carefully planned tour, suit up and head to Maggie Valley for your next motorcycle adventure!
