1. The Lakeside Bistro at The Terrace – Lake Junaluska

Pictured above, this newly opened lakeside restaurant offers unparalleled views of Lake Junaluska resting in her valley of mountains. Located in The Terrace Hotel, the Bistro serves a daily hot breakfast buffet for lodging guests and the general public. Enjoy breakfast on their patio overlooking the lake. 2. Bearwaters Brewing Creekside – Maggie Valley

Serving food by The Grey Eagle Taqueria, this Creekside porch will be a perfect add-on to your vacation activities. Bearwaters serves several of their award-winning beers on tap that will pair perfectly with soft shell tacos or even ceviche! Open Tues – Sun | 828-944-0009

2. Pin High Grille @ Maggie Valley Club – Maggie Valley

After golfing a round in the gorgeous rolling hills of Maggie Valley Country Club you’ll certainly want to refuel and soak in the mountainous views from their back deck. Not much of a golfer? 3. Pop’s Butts on the Creek – Maggie Valley

You simply cannot visit the mountains of North Carolina and not feast upon some delicious BBQ. Butts on the Creek has exactly what you’re looking for with mouth-watering pulled pork beef brisket and smoked chicken. 4. J. Arthur’s Restaurant – Maggie Valley

It’s right there in the name! Southern Porch’s large bricked patio and wrap-around porch will take you back to lazy Southern afternoons sipping tea and catching up on the town gossip. 7. Bearwaters Brewing Riverside – Canton

This Canton location of Bearwaters features a variety of seating options along the Pigeon River as well as a cozy firepit! Or you can take your fare from The Grey Eagle Taqueria and an award-winning brew from Bearwaters out to their wooden deck that reaches out over the water. Open Tues – Sun | 828-944-0009

10. Frog Level Brewing – Waynesville

11. The 3rd Bay Filling Station – Waynesville

New to the Waynesville lunch scene but quickly making a name for themselves, the Filling Station makes savory lunch sandwiches and soups using ingredients from their neighbors at Corner Station Olive Co. Open Mon – Sat | 828-246-6868.

12. Boojum Brewing – Waynesville

Treat yourself to a craft beer and appetizer on Boojum’s back deck or make it a whole meal and try their “So Gouda Chicken” dinner. Their deck is pet-friendly but fills up fast so get there early. Open Wed – Mon | 828-246-0350
