Cold Mountain Loop Bicycle Ride

44.7 miles; Strong Intermediate and above) This route lets your legs warm up during the ride out the Pigeon River Valley and past Lake Logan for a long, classic climb to stunning views from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Twelve miles on the Parkway will reveal some of the most beautiful lands of our region. As you drop sharply away from the Parkway on US 276, you will understand why you ascended from the Lake Logan side. Peddle through the Cruso community and along the East Fork of the Pigeon River for many of the miles back to your starting point. Park at the Blue Demon Ball Park of the Bethel Middle School on Poindexter Rd / NC 215 on the north side of the field, bathrooms in building near walking track and bleachers.
