About

42-acre Animal Fiber Farm
How about Sheep?” was the question that changed the path of Dan and Julie Wilson’s lives in 1990. Dan’s positive answer began the saga of Jehovah Raah Farm, which means, The Lord shepherds.
Two sheep on an acre pasture in Candler, North Carolina, paved the way into a 42 acre farm in Clyde, NC.  Alpacas, (Suri and Hucaya), Angora Goats, Angora Rabbits, Shetland Sheep, Scottish Highland Cattle, Llamas, Honey Bees, Cockoo Maran Chickens and Black Spanish Turkeys, and Guineas grazing in their little piece of heaven. Their restored 1910 Shepherd’s Croft cottage is available for lodging.

Julie Wilson will drop everything to teach folks to spin fiber into yarn on Lendrum Spinning Wheels. After retiring from thirty years of teaching special needs teenagers, Julie’s passion and exuberance for farmin’ and spinnin’ is truly contagious. Book an appointment for a farm tour including tours of sheep, llama, or mule with gifts and farm made items included.

Classes include spinning, weaving, beginning knitting and sheep 101. You can rent your own Lendrum Spinning Wheel if you love spinning and have “caught the bug.”
