Welcome to Maggie Valley Fly Shop!
Where we teach the art and beauty of fly fishing, from covering the basics to advanced fly-fishing techniques and skills in some of the very best trout waters that Western North Carolina has to offer. Our clients learn how to cast, reading the water, how to select your flies based on the pattern that will work best for trout. We teach advanced tactics such as euro nymphing, dry fly and streamer fishing. Our focus is for you to enjoy the beauty of fly fishing and The beauty of The Smokies.
Float Trips
We offer 1/2 Day and Full Day Float Trips on All the Major Rivers in North Carolina and Tennessee.
From Brown, Brook and Rainbow Trout to Smallmouth Bass on the fly. Trips and Float Trips are $225.00 per person for 1/2 day – 4 hours and full day trips are $275.00 per person- 8 hours and include lunch and
snacks. All you need is a license, which you can get online at ncwildlife.org and we provide everything else. We take a ton of pictures, and you get a video of your day out on the river.
