Maggie Valley is the perfect place for motor enthusiasts to browse vehicles of all kinds and maybe show off their own ride while they’re at it. Check out these upcoming events that will fuel your excitement.

Thunder in the Smokies

Summer: June 25-27
Fall: September 10-12

If you hear a distant rumble, don’t be fooled—it may not be thunder. Hear the roar of bikers from across the nation visit Maggie Valley for the Thunder in the Smokies Motorcycle Rally. These rallies occur year-round with events happening in the spring, summer, and fall. Enjoy live music while browsing some impressive bikes all in the presence of a spectacular mountain backdrop. You can enter your ride into the bike show and bike games for a chance to win prize money. Top it all off with a tour ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and you’ll be cruising on cloud nine. This exhilarating event is the oldest and longest-running rally in Western North Carolina and one you won’t want to miss.

Slingshots in the Smokies-Owners Event

June 2-5

Proud owners of Polaris Slingshots…listen up! The Slingshots in the Smokies event is the leading owners’ events for Slingshots in the United States. This event features local vendors, seminars, group rides, and entertainment. This year they are looking to break their previous world record of the most Slingshots in a parade with a total of exactly 300 in 2019.  Strap in and try your sling-shot at being a part of a world record.

WNC JeepFest

June 11-12

Jeep lovers unite! This weekend event will feature special classes and guided rides for those who live and breathe the Jeep life. For those who are gathering inspiration for your dream car, or just love Jeeps in general, this event is for you too! Check out local automotive and food vendors while walking around the Maggie Valley festival grounds. If you’re an animal lover, you’ll be happy to hear that all proceeds for this event go to Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation. Time to Wrangle up your fellow Jeep enthusiasts and buckle up for a real off-roading adventure.

Swap Meet/Camaro & Firebird Show

Summer: June 17-19
Fall: September 23-25

Relive your childhood with a chance to see some real hot wheels. This swap meet event will have Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classic Rat Rods, Customs, Pickups, and Antiques. There is so much for you and your family to enjoy! Enter your ride into a car show and check out the vendors for a bite to eat or some automotive inspiration. Share your appreciation for classic cars with your family and make memories that will last a lifetime.
