The name might make you giggle, but the beauty of this trail is no joke. This 4-mile path is perfect for those looking for a casual hike amongst the beautiful, lush forests of the North Carolina Smokies. With a gradual elevation gain of 900 feet, this hike is great for beginners or parents looking for a tranquil trail to explore.
Stand in the presence of double natural waterfalls with ease. Located half a mile off the road, take this short trail to a viewing deck overlooking Soco Falls. To get a closer look, you can continue down a trail to the base of the waterfalls. Be careful; this hike is a bit steep! Have a misty moment and get an excellent backdrop for your next profile pic.
Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway, this picturesque hike is a popular photo spot for hikers. Climb to the 16th highest mountain in the Eastern U.S. and experience vast views for up to 50 miles on a clear day. Wander a little further near Browning Knob and you can pay your respects to a plane crash in 1983 before venturing to Mount Lynn Lowry. Trust us, the views from this summit are worth the trek.
If you’re an experienced hiker looking for a fun challenge, pack up your gear and head to Blackrock Mountain. Be advised, we do not recommend this trail for beginners.
